A new dwelling within the grounds of Chew Manor and located in the Greenbelt around Chew Magna

Chew Manor and its grounds had until recently been used as a school. Now partially redeveloped into residential use, remaining redundant school buildings in the grounds are to be removed, paving the way for a new large dwelling to provide a more sensitive face to the Manor drive.

Single storey, and taking advantage of views towards distant hills, the proposals are modern in nature, with visual impact kept to a minimum by cutting the building into the slope and presenting a simple, stone wall elevation to the driveway itself.

The proposals were prepared in conjunction with a planning consultant, and a pre-application submission has been made to Bath and North East Somerset.
